Output quality

Each page is reproduced as a slide of matching dimensions, with every line of text placed as its own text box at the coordinates it occupied in the PDF, carrying its measured font size and bold state. That is a closer match to the source than the Word direction achieves, and the reason is structural rather than clever engineering: a slide is natively a set of positioned boxes, which is precisely how a PDF stores its content, so almost nothing has to be inferred. What you should expect to fix by hand: images and vector graphics are not transferred in this version, fonts fall back to the presentation defaults so line widths can differ slightly, and text that was justified or letter-spaced in the PDF may sit a little differently inside its box. Nothing is rasterised — there are no pictures of slides here, only real editable text.

Troubleshooting

The slides came back empty
Your PDF is a scan — a picture of a page with no text layer. Try selecting text in your PDF reader: if you cannot highlight a word, there is nothing to extract, and you need OCR rather than this tool.
Text boxes overlap each other
Lines that sat very close together in the PDF become boxes that touch. Click and nudge them, or widen the box — the text itself is correct.
The images are missing
Image transfer is not implemented in this version. Use PDF to JPG to pull the pictures out separately, then place them on the slides.

Privacy and file deletion

  • Why is this better than PDF to Word?

    Because of what the two formats are. Word stores text as a flow, so rebuilding a Word file from a PDF means guessing which lines belong to which paragraph, and guesses go wrong. PowerPoint stores exactly what a PDF stores: boxes at fixed positions on a fixed-size page. So here we are putting things back where they were rather than inferring structure, and the result lands much closer to the original.

  • What does each page become?

    One slide, at the same dimensions as the PDF page. A4 pages give A4-shaped slides rather than being squeezed into 4:3 or 16:9 — forcing a standard shape would either distort every page or add white bars to all of them.

  • Is the text editable?

    Yes. Every line becomes a real text box with its font size and bold state carried over, so you can click into it, retype it, move it or restyle it. It is not a picture of a slide.

  • What does not come across?

    Images and vector drawings from the PDF are not carried into the slides in this version, and exact fonts are replaced by the presentation defaults. Text, its position and its size are what you can rely on.

  • Is my PDF uploaded?

    Yes, and this is the exception among our PDF tools. Merge, split, compress and the rest run entirely inside your browser. This one needs analysis libraries that cannot. Your file is stored under a random name, is never read by a person, and is deleted within 24 hours.

  • What happens to the images I upload in a batch?

    Files up to 30 MB are accepted, and a batch is handled as separate jobs that are zipped together at the end. Every upload is stored under a random name, never served from a public folder, and deleted 24 hours after the job starts — the finished file goes at the same moment. We never share them and there is no account they could be tied to. The one thing we do is compare the original against the result in our own admin area, to be sure the compression has not softened the picture.
