Your files stay private
Uploads are stored under a random name with no connection to the file you sent, and they are never served from a public directory. Input files are deleted within two hours and finished downloads within 24 hours. Nobody looks at them, and nothing is shared with anyone.

- Is PNG compression lossless?
- Not the way we do it here. Truly lossless PNG optimisation saves maybe 5–10%. Palette quantisation — cutting the image down to at most 256 well-chosen colours — is what delivers the 50–70% savings people actually want, and on flat-colour graphics the difference is invisible.
- Does transparency survive?
- Yes. The alpha channel is preserved, including partial transparency along antialiased edges.
- My photo hardly shrank. Why?
- Photographs contain far more than 256 distinct colours, so palette quantisation has little to work with and can introduce visible banding in gradients. For photographs, convert to JPG or WebP instead — that is a much bigger win.
- Do you keep my files?
- No. Files are stored on our server only while the job runs. Uploads are deleted within 2 hours and finished downloads within 24 hours, whichever comes first. We never open, inspect or share them.
