Convert JPG to PNG
PNG stores every pixel exactly, so nothing degrades further when you edit and re-save. Converting a JPG to PNG will not recover detail the JPG already discarded, but it does stop any more from being lost.

- Does converting to PNG improve the image?
- No. Whatever the JPG threw away is gone for good — no format can bring it back. What PNG does give you is a stable base: you can crop, annotate and re-save as many times as you like without compounding compression artefacts.
- Why is the PNG so much bigger?
- PNG is lossless, so it has to record every pixel including the JPG compression noise. A 500 KB photo commonly becomes a 3–5 MB PNG. That is expected, not a bug.
- Will the PNG have a transparent background?
- No. A JPG has no transparency to carry over, so the PNG is fully opaque. Removing a background needs an editor or a background-removal tool, not a format conversion.
- Do you keep my files?
- No. Files are stored on our server only while the conversion runs. Uploads are deleted within 2 hours and finished downloads within 24 hours, whichever comes first. We never open, inspect or share them.
