- How much smaller is WebP really?
- For typical photographs, 25–35% smaller than a JPG that looks the same. The gap widens on images with large smooth areas such as skies and studio backdrops, and narrows on very noisy or grainy shots.
- Can every browser display WebP?
- Yes, for practical purposes. Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari have all supported it for years. The awkward cases are not browsers but desktop apps and older upload forms.
- Is WebP good for SEO?
- Indirectly, and the effect is real. Google measures page experience through Core Web Vitals, and images are usually the heaviest thing on a page. Smaller images mean a faster LCP, which is a ranking input.
- Do you keep my files?
- No. Files are stored on our server only while the conversion runs. Uploads are deleted within 2 hours and finished downloads within 24 hours, whichever comes first. We never open, inspect or share them.
