192 kbps is right for almost everything. Speech stays perfectly clear at 128 and the file is smaller. 320 only makes sense for music where the source recording was high quality to begin with — it cannot add detail that was never in the video.
Is extracting audio faster than converting video?
Much faster. Only the audio track is decoded and re-encoded, and the video stream is skipped entirely. A one-hour video usually finishes in well under a minute.
Do you keep my files?
No. Uploads are deleted within 2 hours and finished downloads within 24 hours, whichever comes first. We never watch, inspect or share them.
