Browse video toolsWhy is my cut slightly off in fast mode?
Fast mode copies the video stream untouched, and it can only start at a keyframe — the periodic full frames the encoder inserts, typically every one to two seconds. Cutting anywhere else would require re-encoding. Turn fast mode off if you need the cut exactly where you asked for it.
Does trimming reduce quality?
In fast mode, not at all — the original data is copied bit for bit. With fast mode off, the section is re-encoded, which costs a small and generally invisible amount of quality.
Do you keep my files?
No. Uploads are deleted within 2 hours and finished downloads within 24 hours, whichever comes first. We never watch, inspect or share them.
