Browse video toolsWill the audio sound like a chipmunk?
No. Playing audio faster the naive way raises its pitch. We use the atempo filter, which changes the timing while leaving the pitch alone, so speech stays recognisable even at 2×.
Does the video get choppy when slowed down?
It can. Slowing to 0.5× shows each original frame for twice as long, so footage shot at 30 fps effectively becomes 15 fps. Filming at a high frame rate in the first place is the only real fix for smooth slow motion.
How does this change the file size?
Speeding up shortens the video, so the file gets smaller roughly in proportion. Slowing down lengthens it and the file grows.
Do you keep my files?
No. Uploads are deleted within 2 hours and finished downloads within 24 hours, whichever comes first. We never watch, inspect or share them.
