- Will my transparent background survive?
- Yes. Both WebP and PNG have a real alpha channel, so transparency is copied across exactly. Nothing gets flattened onto white.
- Is anything lost in the conversion?
- PNG is lossless, so nothing is lost in this step. If the original WebP was saved lossily, the artefacts it already had are preserved faithfully — but no new ones are introduced.
- Should I pick PNG or JPG?
- PNG if the image has transparency, sharp text, or flat blocks of colour like a logo or screenshot. JPG if it is a photograph and you care about file size.
- Do you keep my files?
- No. Files are stored on our server only while the conversion runs. Uploads are deleted within 2 hours and finished downloads within 24 hours, whichever comes first. We never open, inspect or share them.
